Counsellor – Lana Rados Registered Clinical Counsellor, M.A., RCC
Lana Rados is a Registered Clinical Counsellor who specializes in counseling alcohol and drug substance abuse. At Fraser Valley Treatment Centre, or FVTC, our clinical counselor has over 30 years of clinical experience in the psychology and psychotherapy of substance abuse.
Lana is also a certified hypnotherapist, NLP and EMDR therapist, registered with the Crime Victims Assistance Program, WorkSafe and ICBC.
Lana has presented numerous workshops and seminars for various agencies, such as Canadian Mental Health Association, Family Services of Greater Vancouver, Burnaby Family Life, etc. She has appeared on many radio and TV shows prior to opening her own practice. Lana was a professor of psychology at Bradford University in England and is registered as a Clinical Counsellor with BCACC.
Lana has extensive knowledge in the area of human cognitive and emotional development, behavior and interactions, and substance abuse. Her confident, direct, yet warm and accepting style have proven highly effective in assisting her clients to live happier and more fulfilled lives by getting over substance abuse.
Lana’s intensive 4 years of post-clinical-psychology training in integrative psychotherapy has further enhanced her therapeutic and counseling skills, equipping her with a unique and highly effective, efficient approach based on a coherent, research based theory. She considers her approach to be postmodern, as it integrates science of human development and behavior with intuition that has been highly refined experimentally. As a result, Lana is able to assist her clients in reaching their therapeutic goals extremely fast.
