What we TreatAlcohol Addiction
Comparable in many fashions to drug addiction, alcohol addiction, is a misunderstood disorder found in individuals with deep rooted psychological issues.
What we Treat
Alcoholism impacts people of all walks of life; there is not a single cause that contributes to alcoholism: psychological, genetic, and behavioural factors all play a part in this chronic illness. Similarly to drug addiction, alcohol can alter an individual’s brain function, inhibiting the individual to make rational decisions and display self-control. Alcoholism can show itself in many ways: some individuals drink heavily throughout the day, while others binge drink and stay sober for a while-until the cycle repeats itself. Alcohol addiction is incredibly common, yet tough, due to the fact alcohol is a legal substance, easily attainable, and commonly accepted in most cultures.
